"Bringing the community together to meet the needs of vulnerable Bellevue Public School families."

In 2017, Suzanne Quinn and Charlene Cobbs combined their volunteer resources to more effectively meet the needs of Bellevue Public School families. This partnership increased their capacity to provide for growing community needs. Char and Suzanne met with other volunteers and all agreed that together this volunteer group could accomplish greater things for the school community and the non-profit,

Bellevue Together,

was formed.

Does it Work?

All needs are vetted by Bellevue Public School counselors and social workers. They let Bellevue Together know the need, the volunteers are notified and arrangements are made for pick up or delivery.

Back to School

School counselors have vetted families pre-register beginning in April for them to attend this event. The event is usually held annually the last Saturday of July. Each child receives new outfits, socks and underwear (girls get bras), new shoes, a new backpack and schools supplies. They receive other items and services as they are donated and available..

Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets

Families receive everything needed to have a great holiday meal with leftovers.

Christmas Gifts & Food Baskets

Vetted families are provided food baskets during the school break as well as everything needed for an incredible Christmas meal. Each student also receives two $25 gifts selected from their wish list. Socks, slippers, new pillows and handmade pillow cases are given to each student.

Household Goods

Lift Up Sarpy rented a storage unit for us to be able to receive and stock household items for vulnerable families when needs arise.

Valentine Cards

We provide these to schools so all children can participate in exchanging cards with their classmates.

School Staff Meals

We provide a meal for teachers during Parent Teacher conferences in the fall and spring to schools that need additional support. We have also provided meals during teacher appreciation week.

Candy Canes

We give some schools candy canes at Christmas for their entire student body.

Student Snacks

We provide snacks to school nurses to dispense to students as needed.
